Childfree weddings have become a bit of a trend in recent years, and it’s often specified on a wedding invitation whether children are allowed or not. And this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s totally up to the marrying couple what happens on their big day, and sometimes that means making sure the space is one firmly for adults!

The reception is quite possibly the most fun part of the wedding proceedings. The DJ booth has the sound dialled all the way up, the lights are spinning, and at least half of the guests have gotten up on the dancefloor for a spin. Wonderful!
But make sure you put some kids’ songs on the playlist too. You don’t want the kids to only have stuffy, old, and boring songs to dance to. You want them to have some songs to enjoy as well! Two or three child friendly songs that are popular with the younger crowd should do it.

This way the kids can head out there to run around, play games, and enjoy the sunshine when all the boring grown ups are just sitting and talking to each other!
It also ensures there’s plenty of space for the adults to mill around too; sometimes you need to grab your champagne glass and go for a stroll! And if the weather turns out to be absolutely glorious, you can move the party out there for a few hours too.
Create Party Bags for the Kids to Take Home
When kids go to a party, they often expect to have a party bag to take home with them! You can set this up for your child friendly wedding as well.
Hand them out after the dinner is over and the kids can start to play with the toys or use the mini coloring book before they even have to go home too. That can make any long periods of sitting down, listening to speeches and watching the cake being cut, a lot more fun!
