You’ve got goals. But what do these look like?

  • I need to be more organized. 
  • I will be productive starting now. 
  • I have to get the garage in order. 

Those are wishes, but they are not goals. Do you know why? 

A goal requires a proper deadline and a plan of action. You need to outline your goals into manageable tasks set against a timeline. 

There’s no secret here. You can’t get started if you don’t even know the path to reach your goal. This means, for example, if you want to get the garage in order, you can start by identifying what needs doing, whether it is decluttering, fixing the humidity issue, arranging new storage spots, etc. 

Then, you can assign a due date to each of these tasks. 

Anxiety Is Your Enemy

Creating a clear to-do schedule is the first step. The second one is being in a position to dedicate the right amount of time to each task. This means being able to control your time more proactively. This is where your headspace comes into play because when stress and anxiety creep in, even the simplest tasks can feel overwhelming. 

There’s a reason why people with anxiety issues are less productive! Mental fog and the inability to focus can slow you down. This is why it’s important to make time for self-care routines that help decrease your stress and anxiety level. Journaling and meditation are helpful. Stop Trying To Do Everything At Once

In conclusion, being productive doesn’t just mean following a to-do list. It also means understanding what is in your power and how to best apply your efforts.
